Genie James, M.M.Sc. is nationally acknowledged as a trailblazer in women’s health services. With a Masters of Medical Science from Emory University and Ph.D. studies at University of Tennessee, she spent more than twenty years championing holistic approaches to women’s health, consulting with physicians and hospitals across the country. Genie’s first two award-winning books, Making Managed Care Work and Winning in the Women’s Health Care Marketplace reflected these themes knocking the traditional medical
community on its ear.

After the 2002 Women’s Health Initiative Study (WHI) came forth with undisputable evidence regarding the dangers of synthetic hormones, Genie convinced CW Randolph, Jr., MD,  that they should co-found The Natural Hormone Institute to create a vehicle that would educate the consumer and physicians about the safety and efficacy of bioidentical hormone replacement therapies (BHRT). Today, Genie serves as the Executive Director of The Natural Hormone Institute.

In addition to coauthoring From Hormone Hell to Hormone Well and From Belly Fat to Belly Flat with Dr. Randolph, Genie is the primary author of their third book, In the Mood Again, to be released by Simon and Schuster in January 2010.

*Genie and Dr. Randolph have been featured in: First Magazine for Women, Esquire, Health Magazine, Natural Health Magazine, aarp.org, Woman’s World, Woman’s Digest, HealthCastle.com, Prevention, Quick and Simple, Your Health Magazine, Life Extension Magazine
